Description
Enoki (Flammulina velutipes) Gourmet. Also known as Velvet Shank. Top fruiting. Fruiting temp: 8°-12°C
These are spawn bags and not fruiting kits, spawn bags are prepared very differently and is not ideal to fruit from the bag.
Use our Sawdust spawn for substrate to substrate transfer,or to inoculate logs or fruit enoki directly from the bag. it provides up to 1000 times more inoculation points than grain spawn, promising even and swifter colonization in the long run.
If grown in logs, Enoki grows like a white oyster (oyster shell-shaped) instead of a thin, long strand that we are used to seeing.
Enoki will only take the shape of thin, long strands in the presence of high CO2. If there is plenty of airflows, they will take an oyster shell shape.
If you have trouble fruiting enoki because of the temperature, if you have trouble fruiting them, put them in your fridge, and they will fruit.
Key Features-
Lag Period: A lag period occurs when mycelium encounters unfamiliar food. When transferring sawdust spawn to logs, there is no lag period as you are going from wood to wood.
