How to Use 6-(γ,γ-Dimethylallylamino) Purine (2iP)
To prepare tissue culture media using PCT’s 2iP powder, follow these steps:
Prepare liquid tissue culture media using PCT’s MS or DKW media, or another suitable medium.
Add sugar according to the amount of media prepared (typically 30 grams per litre), 1 ml/L of PPM, and either 3–4 g/L of gellan gum or 6–8 g/L of agar.
Add the required amount of 2iP from your prepared 2iP stock solution.
Autoclave the medium for 20 minutes at 15 psi and 121°C.
Your media is now ready to use!
