Despite taking great care during processing, it’s possible for some fibers or plastic from the bags to end up on the grains. The grains are also processed alongside other types of grains and may contain pumpkin seeds or other seeds. However, everything is sterilized, so it will not affectย yourย growth.
If you have left the bag for too long, you can rehydrate it with our sterile water syringes, these syringes are also uselful for people inoculating bags with agar wedge and have issues with full colonisation as thry are not adding extra moisture, people who have mistakenly left the bag on heat mat or for people who only have few mls of spore or liquid culture left, they can compensate the rest of liquid using the sterile water.
It is recommended not to buy this product until you have a colonized agar plate, spore syringe or liquid culture. This product is intended to be inoculated upon arrival.

The 500g variation is supplied as two separate 500g bags (totaling 1kg).
If you are working with our Grain spawn and do not want to use up all the spawn in one go, or inoculated a grain bag with agar, for which you had to cut open the bag but have no way to seal the bag again consider to have our Smallย Sealing Bag Clips ย For 2Kg options select the option Medium as they are a bit bigger

When we make our grains, every step of the process has been carefully thought out to ensure the highest rate of success.

These pre-sterilized rye mushroom grain bags are assured 100% contaminant-free due to their sterilization process of 2 hours at 15 psi in a commercial autoclave. Under certain circumstances, there can still be contamination, which could have occurred while the product was being shipped. In the unlikely event that you see contamination in your bag that may be due to shipping, please send us a photo within 2 weeks of receiving the item for a full refund or replacement.

Important Information
For the 2 kg variation, If the advertised plastic bag is not in stock then we upgrade you to a bigger bag with injection port.
We typically do not have 2 kg variations in stock, and it would take at least 3 days to produce them. 1 kg variations, however, are usually available and can ship more quickly. Sometimes when 2 kg variation are not available we may send 2 x 1kg variation bags, they are more expensive but we can send them free of charge, let us know if you do not want us to do that in order notes.
A 2kg grain spawn bag generally takes longer to colonise because of its larger size. If optimum temperatures are not maintained, or if a slower-growing culture is used, colonisation may slow down further, and the bag could even run out of moisture before fully colonising.
For most growers, we recommend starting with 1kg bags, unless you are confident you have a fast-growing culture.
Please also note:
Weight: 2kg bags are heavier, and the bottom grains may get slightly smudged due to compression. This does not affect growth.
Sterilisation: To ensure sterility, 2kg bags are kept longer in the steriliser so that the core reaches 121ยฐC. This process makes the grains a little softer and easier to break apartย whenย needed.
