Description
Petri dish containers for making agar alternative to agar plates 100ml x50
These dipping sauce containers (as they are known originally) are widely used in Mycology for pouring agar plates. Instead of pouring agar in Petri dishes (Which must be sealed with parafilm), you can pour agar in this container and close the lid.
Your purchase Includes:
- 50x Agar containers (They come clean and almost sterile due to the manufacturing process).
What do we use these containers for?
They are better used when germinating spores, isolating genetics, and transferring and cleaning cultures. They are not recommended for long-term storage as they do not allow for air exchange. Air exchange is crucial for long-term storage.
When do you recommend using these containers?
If you are a beginner experiencing contamination, use these containers. As they do NOT allow for air exchange, the chances of contamination are drastically minimized. Moreover, we recommend using these containers when you do not own of a flow hood or an air still box.
