Benzylaminopurine (BAP) Powder is a plant growth regulator frequently used in plant tissue culture to encourage cell division and shoot proliferation.

Steps for Using Benzylaminopurine (BAP) Powder

To prepare tissue culture media with PCT’s BAP powder, follow these steps:

1. Depending on the plant’s needs, prepare a liquid tissue culture medium using PCT’s MS, DKW, or another suitable medium.
2. Add sugar according to the volume of prepared media (typically, 30 grams per litre), along with 1 ml/L PPM™ and 3-4 grams per litre of gellan gum or 6-8 grams per litre of agar.
3. Mix in the required amount of BAP from the pre-prepared BAP stock solution.
4. Sterilise the medium by autoclaving for 20 minutes at 121℃ and 15 psi.
