Introducing the Ultimate Mushroom Grow Bag: Your All-in-One Solution for Successful Cultivation
Please look at the video Instruction in the demonstration tab.
Despite taking great care during processing, it’s possible for some fibers or plastic from the bags to end up on the grains. The grains are also processed alongside other types of grains and may contain pumpkin seeds or other seeds. However, everything is sterilised, so it will not affect your growth.
The bag comes with 12 complete pages of instructions to take you through everything.
We use microplastic-free Unicorn Bags with this product to ensure cleaner and safer cultivation
Your kits made with Unicorn grow bags, USA
Unicorn is the only bag in the world that has been tested by Eurofins, a third party lab in Europe and passed the stringent EN 1186, and USFDA 1520 for plastic migration into the substrate (Microplastic). Unicorn PP bags was tested at the highest levels of 121 C for 3.5 hours. No PE bags or other manufacturers’ PP bags have achieved this important food safety criteria. So rest assured you are not getting any microplastics from our kits.
If you have left the bag for too long, you can rehydrate it with our sterile water syringes, these syringes are also useful for people inoculating bags with agar wedge and have issues with full colonisation as they are not adding extra moisture, people who have mistakenly left the bag on heat mat or for people who only have few mls of spore or liquid culture left, they can compensate the rest of liquid using the sterile water.
Embarking on the journey of mushroom cultivation has never been easier, thanks to our groundbreaking Magical Mushroom Grow Bag. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned enthusiast, our pre-sterilised, ready-to-colonise substrate bags are designed to simplify your mushroom growing experience. Equipped with detailed instructions, these bags are a game-changer that ensures successful colonisation and bountiful fruiting. Discover how our Mushroom Grow Bag can transform your cultivation endeavors.
Please note, before purchasing, ensure you have a spore syringe or liquid culture ready.
Test your spore syringe or liquid culture before your bag arrives. This is the single best way to avoid a wasted bag. If your culture turns out to be contaminated and you only find out after the bag has landed, you are left with a clean bag and nothing safe to put in it, and the 14 day window will not wait.
When the bag arrives: Check it straight away. You are looking for green or otherwise coloured patches, wet spots, or an off smell. If anything looks or smells wrong, contact us before going any further.
Hold the bag for at least 5 days and check it again. Contamination is not always visible on arrival, and this holding period gives anything latent a chance to show itself. It also protects you, because once a bag is inoculated it can be hard to tell whether a problem originated with us, with your syringe, or with your technique and environment.
Use the bag within 14 days of arrival. Past that, the bag starts to dry out and the contamination risk rises.
If your culture has already tested clean and the bag passes its day 5 check, inoculate any time between day 5 and day 13. If you have not tested your culture in advance, plate it on MEA the day the bag arrives, read it at day 7 to 10, and inoculate between day 10 and 13.
The process is remarkably straightforward – simply inject and let nature take its course. Our comprehensive instruction sheet accompanies every order, guiding you through the inoculation process step by step. We believe in empowering beginners with the knowledge they need to kickstart their journey.
Crafted for optimal growth, our Mushroom Grow Bag boasts a careful blend of 50%Â grains and 50% substrate (comprising 80% Coco Coir and 20% Vermiculite). This carefully curated mix provides the perfect nourishment for mushroom colonisation and fruiting. Each kit includes a self-healing injection port, an alcohol swab for sanitisation, and a specially designed Unicorn Mushroom bag with air filter.
For 1 kg Variant we use 4-T-inj bags from unicorn(10.16cm X 7.62cm X 45.72cm) size.
Effortless Steps for Success
Our Mushroom Grow Bag eliminates the need for grain-to-substrate transfer, a process often prone to contamination. Check the bag on arrival, hold it for at least 5 days and check it again.
- Inoculate the grains through the injection port with a spore syringe or liquid culture between day 5 and day 13.
- Gently move the bag to distribute the inoculant evenly.
- Place the bag in a dry, dark spot at around 22°C.
- Check for colonisation after a week or two.
- Mix substrate and grains by gently shaking the bag.
- Allow another week for colonisation or until ready.
- Follow fruiting instructions specific to your mushroom species.
Fruiting Made Easy
Our Mushroom Grow Bag is designed for ultimate convenience during the fruiting phase. To fruit from the side, create an “x” cut when the bag is fully colonised. For top fruiting, cut the top part of the bag while leaving some space to create a CO2 and humidity reservoir. Once fully colonised, these bags can also be removed from the mushroom bag and kept in a shotgun fruiting chamber.
Although the best way to fruit these bags are inside a monotub. We sell 2 types of tub Inflatable tub from Boomer shroomer or a Max Yield Bin.
*This listing is for bag only.
Check our listing for 2 Kg Coco Coir + Vermiculite Substrate.
We recommend all in one bags to be not inoculated with a agar plate, use Rye or Millet grain bags instead, but if you do cut it open, its best to seal the bag using our Sealing Bag Clips.
We offer Nitrile Gloves and Face Masks, essential for maintaining sterile conditions in your mycology projects. We also recommend you buy Biodegradable MEA agar containers for those testing liquid cultures or spore syringes before inoculating their bags. Do you need a sterile workspace? Have a look at our Still Air box (SAB).
