Instructions for Using Indole-3-Butyric Acid (IBA) Powder
Follow these steps to incorporate PCT’s IBA powder into your tissue culture media preparation:
- Depending on your plant’s requirements, prepare the liquid tissue culture medium using PCT’s MS, DKW, or other suitable media.
- Add sugar proportional to the volume of prepared media (typically, 30 grams of sugar per litre), 1 ml/L PPMâ„¢, and 3-4 grams per litre of gellan gum or 6-8 grams per litre of agar.
- Incorporate the desired amount of IBA from the pre-made IBA stock solution.
- Sterilise the medium by autoclaving it for 20 minutes at 121℃ and 15 psi.
Your tissue culture medium is now ready for use!
We offer both powder and IBA solution forms of our plant growth regulators to meet different needs:
Powder Form: This is the raw, solid form of the product. It offers a longer shelf life, is cost-effective, and ideal for customers who prefer to prepare their solutions at desired concentrations.
Solution Form: This is a ready-to-use or ready-to-dilute liquid product version. It provides convenience and ensures consistent concentration, saving preparation time. However, it generally has a shorter shelf life and should be stored properly to maintain effectiveness.
Both forms contain the same active ingredient—the choice depends on your application preferences, storage capabilities, and handling needs. We’re happy to assist if you have any questions about usage or preparation.
